Like all the best ideas, incubation can be helpful. Meeting at INSEAD in the late 1990s, it took another 20 years for Druid’s founders Diarmuid Crowley and Essar Gabriel to realise their vision and build a Sports Marketing agency that did things differently, that played differently.
In 2019, that first partnership set the tone for a culture that has always celebrated a business model steeped in the values of trust and collaboration. Crowley’s extensive career included global positions within IMG (CEO of Rio 2016 Olympic Hospitality, Sales Director, Wembley Stadium) and, subsequently, Chief Commercial Officer of Portugal FA and Gabriel’s leadership at the highest levels of Olympics Sports immediately made their connection a force to be reckoned with.
That rich collective experience seeded Druid Sport, born from a playful reflection on those ancient Celtic leaders and trusted advisors, tasked with guiding their communities through challenge and change.
